Trust Governance Structure

 

 

Members

Academy trusts are founded by members who have a general duty to exercise their powers, to further the academy trust’s charitable purpose.  They have a limited role, and more details can be found in the link at the bottom of this page.

 

Board of Trustees

The trust board, led by a Chair, is the decision-making body of the academy trust and is accountable and responsible for all the academies in the academy trust.  Further details of their role can be found in the link at the bottom of this page.

 

Local Governing Board (LGB)

In our trust the Board of Trustees decides which governance functions they delegate to the LGB.  This is clearly seen in our Scheme of Delegation.  Each school in our trust has its own LGB, which oversees the governance of their respective school.  Governors can also serve one more than one LGB.  Further details regarding LGBs can be found in the link below.
